Recommendations

In general, my recommendations are things that I found personally relatable or inspired me in some shape or form.

やがて君になる (Bloom Into You). Written by 仲谷鳰 (Nakatani Nio). I honestly cannot tell you to like this manga, as people who come across it have different emotions when it comes to this, but this is a story that I hold very dear to my heart. I have followed it from the very first chapter all the way until it ended in 2019. YagaKimi has been with me through the hardest of times and the happiest of times, and the messages in this story are things that resonate with me. This series is my philosophy on love printed out.
リズと青い鳥 (Liz and the Blue Bird). Part of the Hibike Euphonium series, but the film can be watched as a stand-alone. Spectacular music, excellent experimental usages of animation, and the plot is incredibly relatable to anyone that has graduated high school. Without spoiling the movie, I recommend the film based on a single scene, which is the one that contains the OST found in the trailers.
ウマ娘 Pretty Derby (Uma Musume). I looked down upon this series when it first came out, as it seemed pretty much just like an anime version of the My Little Pony series, but with the release of the mobile game, I gave it a try. I was completely unprepared to learn just how much detail was put into this game's characters, and the historian in me fell in love with the series' accuracy towards Japanese horse racing. I've cried so many times watching the second season, and I can't believe that I ever had negative thoughts about this franchise.
